Hot Pressed Boron Nitride - A unique solution

Our Centre of Competence (CoC) for hot pressed boron nitride (HPBN) is located in Newport (UK) and has a long term experience in hotpressing and machining of boron nitride.
Due to the demand of our customers and in line with our strategy to adapt this unique material also to other markets we are manufacturing not only pure boron nitride but also boron nitride composites.
Our production is highly flexible. Based on our well equiped machine shop we can meet all customer's needs.

This is the foundation of our future growth.

Our goal is to use the knowledge gained by working closely with our customers in all sectors of the market to manufacture HPBN compounds that are optimised for each application.

Manufacturing process of HPBN:

The basic raw material manufactured by Sintec is a specific boron nitride powder with high sintering activity.

The powder is often mixed with additives to obtain customer needs and then charged to a carbon die and pressed at temperatures up to 2000°C.

Alternatively we offer HPI-ed (hot isostatic pressed) isotropic boron nitride densified at Sintec HTM AG.

The resulting billet is then machined into the required sizes and tolerances.
After final inspection the parts are sealed and packed for shipping.
