Shot Blast Nozzles - We Accelerate Your Sand

Our Centre of Competence (CoC) for shot blast nozzles is located in Schongau (Germany) and has more than 25 years experience in hot pressing and sintering of ceramics.
Due to the demand of our customers we offer not only standard nozzles, but also a wide range of tailor made nozzles.

Our production is highly flexible to manufacture either individual parts or longer run mass production.

Besides our in-house products we offer today the complete range of Kennametal Inc. Boride Abrasive Flow Products products.

This is the foundation of our market position.

Our goal is to use the knowledge gained by working closely with our customers in all sectors of the market to produce shotblast nozzles that are optimised for each application.

Manufacturing process of shot blast nozzles:

The raw materials are Boron Carbide (B4C) or Silicon Carbide (SiC).

These powders are very accurately weighed and loaded into precisely machined graphite moulds. At temperatures up to 2300°C the powder is pressed to net shaped parts.
Alternatively the powders are first cold pressed to net shape and then sintered at temperatures up to more than 2000°C for final densification.

The finished parts are checked to ensure correct density in order to guarantee long life and wear resistance.
After glueing into a metal case the nozzles are individually marked and packed for despatch.

Sintec Schongau is approved to international quality standard ISO-9001:2000.
